AGADEZ - UNCLASSIFIED IRON, 3.5 kg

Found in Sept 2020 in the Agadez region in the Republic of Niger. This is a beautifully oriented single mass with amazing surface features. It has intact fusion crust and flow lines as well as surface contraction cracks. The surface is a golden brown color, often referred to as a “golden iron” from the coloration imparted by the desert sand. A very fine example of an iron meteorite that shows wonderful surface patina, flow lines, oriented bullet shape, and beautifully preserved fusion crust.
