SEYMCHAN - SLICE, 418 g

Seymchan is a newer find, originally found in Russia in 1967. Initially Seymchan was thought to be an iron, but after the initial mass was found, other individuals were discovered in 2004 that had olivine crystals and it was reclassified as a Pallasite. This particular slice shows an amazing vein of metal running diagonally across the middle of the piece with an amazing Widmanstatten pattern visible throughout. On each side of the metal vein are wonderful large yellow and green olivine crystals with some turning orange nearer the edges. A beautiful piece that displays the highest qualities of Seymchan in a slice.
